Matthew Hakkarainen

Matthew Hakkarainen is the first prize winner of the 37th Lipizer International Violin Competition, and is also a major prize winner at the Mirecourt and Stuttgart International Violin Competitions. He received his B.M. from the Curtis Institute of Music, and is currently pursuing his M.M. at the Juilliard School. Matthew is grateful to perform on a 1790 Giuseppe Guadagnini violin and an Étienne Pajeot bow graciously provided by the company CANIMEX INC., from Drummondville (Québec), Canada.
