John Axelrod

Maestro John Axelrod is among today’s leading conductors. In 2020, he received the Special Achievement Award from ICMA. In 2022, he was elected Principal Conductor of the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra. Since 2019, he is the Principal Guest Conductor of the City of Kyoto Symphony Orchestra. He graduated from Harvard in 1988, and studied with Leonard Bernstein and Ilya Musin. In 2020 he founded www.conductorsmasterclassonline.com. In 2022, he made a partnership with Classeek.
