About me
New York City-born cellist Ari Evan is currently an artist-in-residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapelle, under the tutelage of Gary Hoffman. Previously, he was a member of Carnegie Hall's prestigious Ensemble Connect Fellowship. He received his Masters degree from Juilliard, where he studied with Timothy Eddy. His concerto appearances include performances with the Wallonie Royal Chamber Orchestra, Vienna Concert Orchestra, and Northwestern University Symphony Orchestra. He was recently featured on the Chapelle's landmark Franck CD album, where he recorded the first 3 Franck piano trios with famed French pianist, Frank Braley. Other notable chamber music collaborators include Shmuel Ashkenasi, Colin Carr, Miriam Fried, Gary Hoffman, Hsin-Yun Huang, Ani Kavafian, Itzhak Perlman, and Robert McDonald. His festival appearances include Ravinia, Krzyzowa Music, Festival Mozaic, Bay Chamber Festival, Music Mountain, IMS Prussia Cove, and the Perlman Music Program Chamber Music Workshop.
